Course Description
Often when we think of children having access to hammers, saws, drills and other tools the first thing that comes to mind is danger and injuries when engaging in this type of experience. But when we provide woodworking opportunities for children, including those from a very young age, we begin to understand this is a highly engaging activity where children actually slow down and concentrate on their work for extended periods of time whilst learning a wide range of practical skills that will be useful in their daily lives.
This short 'how to' course will support you in exploring woodworking with the children in your setting.
